Beach Hotel to host Art Exhibition of international artists during the
Dubai Art Surprises Week from the 2nd-8th of August
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is proud to present an art exhibition as part
of the Dubai Summer Surprises Art Surprises Week from the 2nd to the 8th
of August. The hotel will feature an exhibition of internationally
renowned artists who will display their selection of paintings along the
Colonnade walkway on the ground and 1st level of the hotel.
Artists participating in the art exhibition originate from around the
world and include:
United Kingdom - Brigid Marlin
Ms. Brigid Marlin from England is famous for her portraits and other
fantasy style paintings. Her portfolio includes portraits on the Queen
Mother, Barbara Cartland and author JG Ballard, which was most recently
purchased by the National Portrait Gallery in London. Brigid Marlin
accepts portrait commissions from all over the world, having recently
traveled to the Himalayas to do an official portrait of His Holiness the
Dalai Lama.
Lebanon - Mounir Lakkis
Mr. Mounir Lakkis from Lebanon is famous for his modern and abstract
art. Currently based in Dubai, he has been exhibiting his paintings all
over the world for over 20 years.
Ukraine – Sergei P. Yatsenko
Mr. Sergei P. Yatsenko from Ukraine is most famous for his outstanding
paintings of Jumeirah International properties including The Jumeirah
Beach Hotel, Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi and the Emirates Towers. Sergei P.
Yatsenko is also well known as author executor of the exhibition of
portraits of H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan that took place in
Abu Dhabi during 1998.
In addition, The Four Seasons Ramesh Art Gallery will also be displaying
artwork from a number of different artists. Visitors of the exhibition
will have the wonderful opportunity to purchase from the collection on
display by these talented individuals.
The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is delighted to support budding Picassos by
creating a painting competition in the kid’s corner from 2pm to 4pm
daily throughout the Art Surprises Week. The competition will be divided
into 2 age groups: 4 to 8 years and 9 to 15 years, with winners
announced on a daily basis to receive prizes. Winning paintings
accumulated over the week will be on display until the completion of the
exhibition. Other exciting activities including face painting, balloons,
cartoon videos and Play Station 2 games will be available for all to
enjoy the festivities.
Also, joining in the activities, the Colonnade will serve a special
buffet prepared especially for the occasion, with dishes creatively
named after famous painters. |
