Singapore is
out to tell incentive planners in Europe that this is the destination to
rediscover. More new products, activities and events mean that incentive
organisers are spoilt for choice.
Where else can one lunch with the lions, dive with the sharks and dine
with penguins? Bold ideas that stretch the imagination is Singapore's
promise to deliver the most personalised, original and creative
programmes for incentive groups.
This will be Singapore's message at this year's European Incentive and
Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (EIBTM), which takes place in
Geneva from May 29 to 31. Singapore launches Incentive Isle Singapore
(IIS) a new MICE marketing campaign - which emphasises the limitless
options and creative customisation for the most authentic itineraries.
Singapore revisited exposes incentive groups to the off beat and
unusual, and gives them exclusive experiences that even the locals may
be delighted to discover. A re-enactment of the hawker streets of
yesteryear at Raffles Hotel, a chance to abseil on an offshore island or
outdoor dancing in a restored old convent these and all are dreams which
the Singapore industry will turn to reality for incentive planners.
Singapore Tourism Board's division the Singapore Exhibitions and
Conventions Bureau ? has galvanised the support of 20 industry partners
to market Singapore's enticing and limitless opportunities. The
delegation is led by STB's Chief Executive, Mr Yeo Khee Leng.
Supporting this also is the network of STB's 18 offices around the world
and the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau to listen to the
needs of incentive organisers.
Singapore's aim is to bring quality service a step further by listening
to the specific needs of an incentive organiser before putting together
a truly unique and customised programme.
Mr Yeo said: "Incentive Isle Singapore encapsulates it that Singapore is
a whole island of incentive opportunities. We have new and interesting
ideas and the expertise to customise these ideas to create the most
authentic and memorable incentive programme that fits the bill of each
and every client. The key is customisation which can only be done well
with lots of experience and a large dose of imagination. We are
fortunate that the Singapore industry has these essential qualities to
make the difference."
Incentive Isle Singapore kicks off at EIBTM on May 29 with lively
demonstrations of Singapore's Chinese, Malay, Indian and Peranakan
cultures. From Chinese opera to the traditional art of brewing fragrant
ginger tea, these samplings of Singaporean life will be translated to
participative itineraries to give a glimpse of the ideas available to
incentive organisers.
These cultural activities will continue at the Singapore booth for all
visitors to participate in till 30 May 2001. We welcome everyone to come
by and live it up in true-blue Singaporean style ! |
