Mandarin
Oriental, San Francisco has received the prestigious Mobil Travel Guide
Five-Star Award. For the second consecutive year, the 158-room luxury
hotel is the only hotel in San Francisco and one of only 25 hotels, inns
and resorts in North America to earn one of the hospitality industry’s
most distinguished awards.
“This year’s winners of the Mobil Five Star Awards have demonstrated a
commitment to excellence, that is, raising the standards for all
lodgings throughout North America,” said Kenneth P. Cohen, Vice
President, Public Affairs, Exxon Mobil Corporation. “The Mobil Travel
Guide Five-Star Award indicates that a property is one of the best in
the country,” Cohen adds.
Mobil Travel Guide ratings are based upon anonymous visits by senior
staff evaluators, published reviews and thousands of letters from guide
users. Judging criteria is based on impeccable service, fine décor, and
a distinctive ambiance.
