Marriott
International (NYSE:MAR) yesterday opened the 333-room luxury, full
service JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta, and Indonesia’s first
Marriott-branded hotel.
The JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta is owned by PT Permata Birama Sakti. It is
located in the Mega Kuningan Complex and is situated 21 kilometers
southeast of the International Airport and close to the two main
expressways, Jalan Jendral Sudirman and Jalan Gatot Subroto. This
location is in the heart of the Golden Business Triangle, which is home
to major embassies, international companies and is surrounded by lush
green landscapes.
Introductory rates begin at $128 for deluxe rooms, $163 for executive
rooms and $213 for premier suites. Guests will also enjoy a
complimentary buffet breakfast, welcome drink, daily newspaper and fresh
fruits and free use of the health club through the end of the year.
The hotel has an array of services including an executive level with
private lounge and butler service, a 24-hour business center with
secretary support, 24-hour room service, laundry delivery and a travel
and limousine desk.
For recreation, the property features retail shops, a fitness center, an
outdoor swimming pool, a sauna and steam bath, a jacuzzi, massage
services and nearby tennis and golf facilities.
For dining, guests can choose from six restaurants: Sailendra, which has
live cooking stations that serve a blend of Indian, Asian, International
and local cuisine; Asuka, a traditional yet stylish Japanese restaurant;
Pearl, serving authentic Cantonese cuisine specialized on fresh seafood;
Deli, which has a wide range of pastries, freshly baked goods and other
gourmet items. In addition, the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta has
Untitled-Fun Pub offering nightly live music and Karaoke and the JW
Lounge, an exclusive venue for afternoon tea and pastries and live music
in the evenings.
For conferences and social events, the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta offers
1,210 square meters including a 900-square-meter ballroom that is
divisible into three sections and nine additional meeting rooms.
Conference rooms also feature natural light and the latest in technical
equipment.
