British Airways introduces a new class of travel

British Airways is offering its passengers from Vancouver the opportunity to fly to London in a class they've never seen before at a price they'll find hard to resist.

For only C$1499 round-trip they can travel in the airline's new class - World Traveller Plus - and enjoy the privacy and amenities of a dedicated cabin with wider seats, greater seat pitch and the technology to allow them to work or relax in-flight.

The benefits of this unique new service, aimed at the cost-conscious business traveller and discerning leisure passenger include:

- Dedicated cabin with new interiors and five rows of seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.

- New wider seat built by the German-based racing car seat designer Recaro offering greater legroom - 38 inch pitch - with a fully adjustable headrest, legrest, footrest and lumbar support.

- In-seat power for lap tops and individual personal telephones.

- Generous hand-baggage allowance - two pieces with a total weight of up to 26lbs.

- Seat-back entertainment - 12 channels of entertainment offering the latest blockbuster films, comedy, drama, news programs and a 'realtime' moving map to track flights.

The new class will be available on British Airways daily Boeing 747 service between Vancouver and London starting January 8, 2002.

Travellers can book from today to take advantage of this special introductory fare, which is completely unrestricted, for travel from January 8 through April 6, 2002.
