Bonus
deal celebrates new flights to New York and Delhi
United Airlines is celebrating the launch of its Hong Kong to New York
and Hong Kong to Delhi flights with a bumper bonus air miles offer.
Mileage Plus members booking on any United flight to New York, Chicago,
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto or Vancouver between March 1 and May
31 will be credited with double miles.
The Delhi offer starts on April 1 and ends on June 30 and applies to
passengers flying to and from the Indian capital.
"This is our way of saying thank you to United's many loyal customers
who fly from Hong Kong to the US and India," said Nicolas E Ferri,
General Sales Manager for United Airlines in Hong Kong. "We are very
excited about our new service to the Big Apple and we hope they are too.
"It is also a reminder to passengers on our new flights to India of how
valuable we believe their custom is to us."
United's non-stop flight to John F Kennedy airport in New York is
launched on April 2. Service to Delhi begins on April 1.
United Mileage Plus Visa Gold Card holders can also enjoy the double
miles offer for their expenses in the United States and Canada made
through the credit card from April 1 to May 31. The card is available in
Hong Kong through HSBC bank.
"We think this is a great deal," said Mr Ferri. "It doesn't matter how
you fly to New York, for example. You could go via London, if you
wanted, and you would still get double miles for the whole trip as long
as you land at JFK."
United's offer means that, with a flight to New York normally earning
16,134 miles for a round trip, and 32,268 under the new deal, a Mileage
Plus member would qualify for a return business class trip to Singapore
or Tokyo.
United Airlines is adding New York to its list of major, non-stop US
flights that already includes San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago,
using Boeing 747-400s. This makes United the airline offering the most
non-stops to the United States. From Hong Kong it also offers daily
non-stop service to Singapore, Tokyo and Delhi, India.
United, a member of Star Alliance, is the largest air carrier in the
world, operating 2,300 flights to 133 destinations in 28 countries and
two U.S. territories. |
