Hosts for the
5th Annual International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) have announced
the dates, location and enrollment fees for Europe’s most prominent
annual hotel investment event. The 2002 IHIF will be held 19-21 March
2002 at the Hotel Inter·Continental Berlin, Germany. As in past years,
the Forum will be held in association with the International Tourism
Exchange (ITB), the leading trade fair for the international tourism
industry.
Organised and hosted by Insignia Hotel Partners, BHN and Hotel & Motel
Management, the IHIF has become the preeminent event for the European
hotel investment community, with over 750 delegates from 41 countries
attending the 2001 Forum last March. Delegates included the top
decision-makers from most areas of the hotel investment and finance
communities. According to host Jonathan Worsley of Insignia Hotel
Partners, an even larger attendance is expected for the 2002 Forum. “We
are anticipating a sell-out crowd in 2002. Each year the event draws a
larger group of top-hotel industry executives, and we may very well
reach capacity this year.” Added host Jim Burba of BHN, “the quality of
the program topics, first-rate production and caliber of delegates makes
the IHIF a must-attend for hotel industry executives wanting to network
with their colleagues in the European region. If you want to do business
in the European hotel business… then the IHIF is a must attend event.”
The hosts have indicated that the program will reflect timely issues
facing the hotel industry. Details about the program and the theme of
the 2002 IHIF will soon be released, according to host Scott Pierce of
Hotel & Motel Management. “The events of the last several weeks have not
deterred us from going forward with the event, and we plan to add topics
to the program that will reflect the concerns and needs of our
industry,” stated Pierce. “The event again will feature luncheons,
evening receptions, an awards dinner, sponsor exhibits and sightseeing
trips. We are planning some exciting presentations, specialized
workshops and an inspiring keynote address by one of Europe’s important
personalities,” added Pierce. The 2001 IHIF featured an address by Mr.
Helmut Kohl, former Prime Minister of Germany.
An early registration fee of Euros1250 is available until 14 February
2002, with the official rate of Euros1400 effective after that date.
