JET AIRWAYS TO PROVIDE DIRECT AIR LINK BETWEEN VADODRA AND DELHI

Two new Jet Airways' flights link Vadodra in Gujarat directly with Delhi daily from Monday, October 22, 2001 with the induction of the seventh new ATR 72-500 turbo-prop aircraft into the airline's fleet.

The early morning flight 9W 3701/3702 (Delhi-Vadodra-Delhi) will depart Delhi 0555 hrs and arrive Vadodra 0805 hrs, depart Vadodra 0835 hrs and arrive Delhi 1045 hrs. The evening flight 9W 3703/3704 (Delhi-Vadodra-Delhi) will depart Delhi 1730 hrs and arrive Vadodra 1930 hrs, depart Vadodra 2005 hrs and arrive Delhi 2205 hrs.

The twin-engine ATR72-500 is recognised by airline operators for its cost-efficient performance. The high quality Jet Airways Economy Class service, identical to that offered on the Boeing 737 flights, is offered to passengers on the 62-seater ATR flights.

Jet Airways has a fleet consisting of 29 new and next-generation B737-400/700/800 and seven modern ATR 72-500 turbo-prop aircraft. With an average age of 2.8 years, the airline is the operator of the youngest aircraft fleet in South-East Asia. The airline has flown over 26.65 million passengers since inception on May 5, 1993 until end September 2001.

Jet Airways was conferred the prestigious 'Market Development Award' for 2001 by Air Transport World (ATW), a leading aviation magazine of the United States of America, for fulfilling its mission statement "to upgrade the concept of domestic airline travel to that of a world class airline", achieving business success as a result.
