CONTINENTAL AIRLINES ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN COMMISSION STRUCTURE FOR INTERNET BOOKINGS

Effective immediately, Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) has eliminated commissions on travel booked through the Internet. The change affects tickets issued by travel agents in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Micronesia, the Northern Marianas, Republic of Palau, the Marshall Islands and Guam for all travel on Continental Airlines and Continental Express booked by consumers through the Internet.

All other aspects of Continental's commission structure for U.S. and Canada travel agents remain unchanged.

Continental Airlines anticipates making no further comments concerning this announcement.
