A group of
twelve journalists representing the print and broadcast media from the
Czech Republic visited Dubai to get a first hand experience of the
destination recently.
The journalists were given a comprehensive briefing about the
destination and its attractions by the Dubai Department of Tourism and
Commerce Marketing's (DTCM) officials at a luncheon gathering.
DTCM Manager Missions, Hamad bin Mejren said, "The Department
participates at the Holiday World 2001 exhibition in Prague to target
the Central European market and the Czech Republic currently ranks among
the world's top 30 outgoing tourism spenders according to the World
Tourism Organization's 2020 Tourism Vision Forecast."
He noted that the Czech Republic offers promising potential for growth
and through such media missions, the department hopes to create
significant awareness of Dubai in this market.

and Czech Airlines included representatives from CT TV, Prima TV, Impuls
Radio, CRO (radio), MF DNES (daily) Pravo (daily), Blesk (daily), Super
