CENTURY TO CEASE MANAGEMENT IN BALI AND YOGYAKARTA

From 31 August 2001, Century International Hotels has decided to cease management of Century Saphir Yogyakarta, Century Saphir Bali and Century Mabisa Inn Bali, and from 30 September 2001, the Century Benoa Resort Bali.

This follows a mutual decision agreed with the owner of all 4 properties, PT Usaha Pariwisata Sukses, who has decided on an independent, localized operation with a franchise.

Century has managed the hotels since 1998 and 2000 respectively and with its strong global trade support, has been able to achieve levels of international, regional and domestic business above the market performance. The future direction planned for the hotels led to the decision.

Century looks forward to further development in Asia in conjunction with its new sales and marketing partnership with Accor.

Century International Hotels currently manages 16 hotels and resorts in six Asian countries − China and Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
