Bangkok Airways’ wave of festivity at Kao Sarn Road

Bangkok Airways in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Kao Sarn Road Business Association will be organizing a festival entitled “Spicy Summer @ Kao Sarn Mardi Gras” on Saturday 24th March 2001 on Bangkok’s infamous Kao Sarn Road.

The objective of “Spicy Summer @ Kao Sarn Mardi Gras” is to promote the philosophy that the summer season is the greatest time for a holiday at Thailand’s tropical destinations, in addition exposing travelers to Bangkok Airways’ exciting destinations of Koh Samui, Pattaya, Phuket and Hua Hin.

The festival will include sponsors’ booths comprising games, fancy dress contests, stimulating food & refreshment stands. In addition, a variety of stage performances corresponding to the “Spicy Summer” theme will be an enticing spectacle. The performances range from dazzling dance ensembles with such names as “Sweaty Samui”, “Burning Pattaya” and “Tropical Phuket” which represent the distinctive beauty of each beach destination.

A highlight of the festival will be prizes displaying the logo of the festival, a blazing sun wearing sunglasses, which communicates that summer is a fun and exciting time. This logo will be prominently featured as apart of the festival. It will be displayed on t-shirts, key chains and hats.
