The Government
of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is
currently leading a team comprising 13 representatives from Dubai's
travel trade to participate in the largest tourism show for French
travel and tourism professionals - the Top Resa exhibition in Deauville
(France) from September 20 to 22.
"This annual event that has been taking place since 1978 attracts top
product and service providers in the tourism business from around the
world making it essential for us to participate," said DTCM Director
General, Khalid A. bin Sulayem.
He noted that the importance of the French market could be gauged from
the fact that they are the third largest spenders in Europe after
Germany and the United Kingdom.
DTCM Executive Overseas Promotions, Khalifa Ali Buamaim, will represent
the department at the event. The Dubai team at the event comprises eight
hotels and hotel apartments and five travel trade firms who will be
exhibiting under the department's umbrella on a 46 sq.m. stand.
Last years' event attracted 1,114 exhibitors and 12,770 visitors
registering a growth of 12% over 1999. |
