The National
Day Committee of the Government of Dubai's Department of Tourism and
Commerce Marketing (DTCM), met earlier this week to chalk out elaborate
plans to promote the country's heritage and culture during the 30th UAE
National Day celebrations that will be staged from the third week of
December.
"In line with the directives of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Crown prince of Dubai, UAE Minister of Defence and Chairman of
the DTCM, we are keen to use this opportunity to promote Arab traditions
and culture and at the same time instill the spirit of national pride,"
said DTCM Manager Heritage Sites and Events and Chairman of the DTCM's
National Day Committee, Awadh Al Seghayer.
He noted that the DTCM has planned a full programme of cultural events
to outline the department's commitment to promoting the country's
heritage.
"We will back up this promotion with an extensive advertising print and
broadcast campaign to secure its success and promote both inter-emirate
travel as well as attract visitors from the GCC," concluded Mr.
Seghayer. |
