ANA Group Will Apply Surcharge on Tickets

All Nippon Airways has submitted an application to the Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport to implement a surcharge on all tickets as a result of drastically increased insurance and heightened airport security costs following the September 11 terrorist incidents in the United States.

ANA tickets issued on or after November 1 will be subject to a surcharge of Yen 500 per domestic flight coupon and U.S.$5 per international flight coupon on or after October 29.

The Yen 500 / $5 surcharge also applies to ANA Group companies Air Nippon (ANK) and Air Japan (AJX). A surcharge of Yen 250 will be applied to ticket coupons issued on regional ANA Group carrier Air Hokkaido (ADK).
