Finnair today
reached an agreement in negotiations with five of its unions on means of
finding savings in personnel expenses. Agreed upon savings targets
include, among others, holiday and incentive bonuses for the year 2002
and general pay increases previously agreed upon in collective labour
agreements.
With these measures, four-week lay-offs discussed in the negotiations
can be avoided or considerably shortened. The aim of the agreement is to
carry out the savings without weakening the level of service.
The agreeing parties include unions representing office workers,
technical workers, pilots, engineers and managers. |
