The Boeing
Company announced today that Geoffrey L. Carpenter, 36, has been named
assistant treasurer - global treasury operations, for the aerospace
company. He joins Boeing from DaimlerChrysler's Freightliner Corporation
in Portland, Ore.
We are delighted that Geoff will join the company and believe he will
add significant value to our treasury team," said Walt Skowronski,
Boeing vice president of finance and treasurer.
Carpenter will responsible for directing the company's treasury
management activities, including cash management and forecasting, short
term investments and borrowings, and the ongoing share repurchase
program. In addition, he will be responsible for leading Boeing's
international finance programs in support of the company's expanding
global presence.
Carpenter has been the director of treasury services for Freightliner
since May 1998. Previously he spent 10 years in finance and treasury
positions at Lockheed Martin.
He has a master's in business administration from Northeastern
University and earned his bachelor's degree in marketing at State
University of New York at Albany.
Carpenter will begin his new position at Boeing on January 22. |
