- Michael
Kaile to oversee flagship project
- Michael Kaile has been appointed as vice president and general manager
of The Fairmont Dubai, the first landmark hotel in the Arabian Gulf for
Toronto-based luxury hotel group, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. He moves to
Dubai from his previous role as regional vice president and general
manager of The Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Hamilton, Bermuda, a
position held since 1988.
British-born Kaile is a graduate of the Westminster Hotel School in
London and began his career at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth,
England. Further career moves took him to Asia, before he joined
Fairmont in 1991 as general manager of The Fairmont Waterfront in
Vancouver where he was nominated Chain Hotelier of the Year by
Hotelier magazine.
"It is a great honour for me to lead Fairmonts flagship hotel in Dubai
as we enter this important geographic market," he said. " Dubai is a
vibrant and cosmopolitan centre that demands nothing less than the
exceptional from its facilities. The Fairmont Dubai will provide the
levels of personalised service and luxury that will ensure the hotels
place at the heart of the community."
The 34-storey Fairmont Dubai has 393 rooms including 117 suites. Other
features of the deluxe hotel include state of the art business
facilities; residential apartments; four floors of office space; a world
class spa and health facility and a collection of 12 diverse restaurants
and lounges.
The project represents the first step in a strategic alliance between
the private office of His Highness, Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al
Nahyan and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to build and operate a number of
luxury hotels in the region, and elsewhere. |
