The Kansai
Council has set up Kansai Promotion Offices Seoul, South Korea, and
Taipei Taiwan, in an effort to lure more tourists to the Kansai region.
The offices will serve as Kansai's information-dispatch bases by
offering Kansai tourism information and promoting commercialization of
tourism products in major cities in East Asia. The council has asked
local tourism-related firms to manage the offices in South Korea and
Taiwan, from where a number of tourists visit Japan.
The Seoul and Taipei offices will seek to enhance ties with local travel
agents and airlines and gather information in a bid to boost the number
of visitors to the Kansai area. |
