1. Effective
18 April 2001, Air Macau will resume its regular service between Qingdao
and Macau on the following schedule:
Mon, Wed, Sat NX021 TAOMFM 1110/1420 CRJ-200
Mon, Wed, Sat NX022 MFMTAO 1520/1830 CRJ-200.
2. The resumption of Qingdao service is the result of cooperation
arrangement with Shan Dong Airlines, a provincial carrier of Shan Dong
in PRC. The cooperation involves Air Macau resuming the services with a
48 seat aircraft, the Bombardia CRJ-200, supplied by Shan Dong Airlines
on a commercial arrangement.
3. Macau -- Qingdao v.v. route was first inaugurated on 23 March 1997,
it was however terminated on 15 June 1998 on commercial reasons. The
resumption of the service with a small aircraft of 48 seats will
certainly improve the operation economics. If demands increase over
time, more frequencies will be added to the operation and a larger
aircraft will be deployed.
4. Upon resumption of the Qingdao service, Air Macau operation network
in the Mainland will increase to 10 that includes Beijing, Chengdu,
Guilin, Haikou, Kunming, Nanjing, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen and Qingdao.
