The Australian
Tourist Commission today unveiled a new website aimed at boosting the
business tourism to Australia.
Launching the website, www.meetings.australia.com at Dreamtime,
Australia’s annual incentive travel event, ATC Managing Director Ken
Boundy said the website was a one stop shop for incentive and meeting
planners around the globe.
“The new website is tailor made for incentive and meetings planners
looking for to hold their next meeting, convention or incentive trip
down under,” he said.
“The site has five regional gateways providing customised information on
Australia and provides sample incentive itineraries in all States and
Territories, access to ATC staff and details on Aussie gifts and
souvenirs.
“Business tourism is the highest yield sector in Australia’s growing
inbound tourism industry estimated to be valued at over $1 billion each
year.”
Mr Boundy said the new site would complement the ATC’s activities around
the globe to further grow business tourism to Australia. |
