Air New Zealand announces details of recent schedule changes

As a result of the reduced demand for travel to the United States of America, Air New Zealand will be cancelling specific flights from Sydney to Los Angeles , and return Los Angeles to Sydney.

Flights cancelled between 13 October 2001 and 30 October 2001:

NZ14 from Sydney to Los Angeles, and NZ15 from Los Angeles to Sydney, are cancelled on the following dates:

 

Air New Zealand has rebooked NZ14 and NZ15 customers on the above cancelled services on the same direct flight on the next day. Air New Zealand will continue to operate daily services between Sydney and Los Angeles on all other dates in October not listed above.

Flights cancelled between 03 November 2001 and 29 November 2001:

NZ14 from Sydney to Los Angeles, and NZ15 from Los Angeles to Sydney, are cancelled on the following dates:

Air New Zealand has rebooked NZ14 and NZ15 customers on the above cancelled services on the same direct flight on the next day.

Customers originally booked to travel on Monday 05, 12 and 26 November, will be re-accommodated on the same flight two days later on the Wednesday 07, 14 and 28 November due to the cancellation of the Tuesday flights as outlined above.

Air New Zealand will continue to operate services between Sydney and Los Angeles on all other dates in November not listed above.

Auckland to Los Angeles NZ5
Los Angeles to Auckland NZ6

NZ 6 from Auckland to Los Angeles, and NZ5 from Los Angeles to Auckland are cancelled on the following dates:

Wednesday 14 November
Wednesday 21 November

Air New Zealand has rebooked NZ5 and NZ6 customers on the above cancelled services on NZ1 and NZ2 direct flights between Auckland and Los Angeles on the same day.

 Melbourne to Auckland NZ120                          Thursday 25 Oct only

For Customers Booked on Cancelled Services

If you are booked on any one of these cancelled services, you will be re-accommodated on the same direct flight on the next day. However, subject to availability you can choose to take an alternative Air New Zealand option, for example a same day connection to Los Angeles via Auckland.

Accommodation and Additional Reasonable Expenses NZ 14/15

Air New Zealand will consider the reimbursement of costs for customers who incur overnight accommodation costs and other reasonable expenses as a result of the cancelled services for the following customers:

Customers who have already commenced their journey

Customers who are non residents of the city of departure (e.g. Sydney and Los Angeles)
