Air-India has
entered into a code share/block space agreement with Malaysia Airlines
whereby its passengers can travel on the latter’s flights between India
and Kuala Lumpur and from there to Los Angeles.
Under this arrangement, there are seven weekly flights between India and
Kuala Lumpur – four from Mumbai (on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Saturdays), two from Bangalore (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) and one
from Hyderabad (on Sundays). Four services a week are operated between
Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles.
Air-India continues to operate three services a week from Mumbai/
Chennai to Kuala Lumpur with its own Airbus 310 aircraft enroute to
Singapore. On the return leg, the flights which operate via
Singapore/Chennai terminate at Kochi, Mumbai and Delhi. Air-India
passengers, travelling either on its own services to Kuala Lumpur or on
any code share flight of Malaysia Airlines, can avail of the code share
flights on the Kuala Lumpur – Los Angeles sector. The flights from Kuala
Lumpur to Los Angeles are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. |
