Dragonair has
appointed Andy Tung as General Manager, Marketing and Sales. He will be
responsible for setting the direction for marketing and sales activities
system-wide, and for making policy decisions that optimise revenue for
both passenger and cargo operations at a time when the airline is in the
midst of the biggest fleet expansion programme in its history.
Andy joins Dragonair from Boom.com, where he held the position of
General Manager, Corporate Development.
Prior to that, he worked in the transportation sectors, spending three
years in management positions at shipping line OOCL, and two years as
Planner, Routes and Schedules with United Airlines at its headquarters
in Chicago.
Mr Tung holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
from Princeton University and a Master degree in Business Administration
from Stanford University in the US.
Dragonair is a Hong Kong-based airline, operating a fleet of seven
A330-300s, three A321s and seven A320s, in addition to two Boeing 747
freighters. It is currently in the midst of a programme to more than
double its fleet by the end of 2005. The airlines passenger network
covers 28 destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, while its cargo
network connects the markets of Europe, the Middle East, Japan and
