Ramada
International Hotels & Resorts announced the conversion of the Holiday
Inn Dalian in Dalian, China, to the Ramada Dalian in a franchise
agreement with Dalian Jiu Zhou Hotel Co. Ltd. The hotel began operating
as a Ramada on October 1, 2001.
The hotel is jointly owned by Bo Hai Group and Cosgrove Company Limited.
The general manager is Yasuhide Hirata.
“We are very pleased to have a presence in this important Chinese city,”
said Reas Kondraschow, senior vice president and managing director,
Ramada International Hotels & Resorts. “We will continue to look for
growth opportunities within China, which we feel is one of the world’s
most dynamic regions for travel, and expect to add at least four hotels
over the next year.”
The Ramada Dalian is located 11km from the Dalian International Airport
and close to the Dalian Harbor, a major gateway for northeast China and
Inner Mongolia.
Guest amenities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, beauty
salon, sauna, billiard room, massage service, and gift shop. For dining
and entertainment, the hotel has two restaurants, a coffee shop and two
lounges. For conferences and social events, the Ramada Dalian has two
meeting rooms, which seat 350 and 60 people respectively. The Ramada
Dalian will maintain Ramada International’s five pillars, which are: a
restful sleep, an invigorating shower, a well-trained staff, an
exceptional level of cleanliness and the “Ramada Mornings Breakfast” – a
selection that is hot, delicious and easy.
All of the hotel’s rates are listed in MARSHA, Marriott’s central
reservations system, and are now bookable under the Ramada International
GDS code NR in the Sabre, Worldspan, Amadeus and Apollo/Galileo systems.
The Ramada Dalian is the seventh Ramada hotel in China. The others are
located in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuhan.
There are currently 130 Ramada International hotels in 17 countries and
territories. |
