Australian
Tourist Commission (ATC) Managing Director Ken Boundy today released the
final results of the organisational review, including the new Executive
Management Team (EMT).
Mr Boundy said the three Executive General Managers (EGM) announced
today would join three members of the EMT who were announced last month.
“Nathan Smyth has been appointed as Executive General Manager, External
Relations, Stephen O’Neill, Executive General Manager, Marketing
Development and Amanda Green, Executive General Manager, Organisation
Development,” he said.
“The new EGMs are impressive and outstanding individuals chosen from
over 600 applicants. The Executive Management Team will form the
leadership coalition for the ATC and will help to drive the new vision
for the organisation.
The six Executive General Manager positions are based in Sydney are:
Mr Richard Beere, EGM Eastern Hemisphere is responsible for the
strategic vision for product and brand development in the Eastern
Hemisphere and overall management of the region.
Ms Lyndel Gray, EGM Western Hemisphere is responsible for the strategic
vision for product and brand development in the Western Hemisphere and
overall management of the region.
Ms Amanda Green, EGM Organisation Development is responsible for
designing and implementing a culture change program as well as
organization planning and evaluation, development, staff training and
career development.
Mr John Hopwood, EGM Corporate Services is responsible for
organization-wide policies, procedures and support systems for corporate
operations and corporate governance activities, risk management and
legal issue.
Mr Stephen O’Neill, EGM Marketing Development is responsible for
enhancing the ATC’s global brand strategy and driving product and
business segment development program for Australian tourism and is also
responsible for support functions for ATC international marketing
programs such as research, Visiting Journalist Program and trade events.
Mr Nathan Smyth, EGM External Relations is responsible for building
high-level strategic relationships with the tourism industry,
Government, State and Territory authorities and aviation partners.
“The new structure and approach for the ATC will change the way the
organisation operates and aims to maximise the benefits delivered to
Australia’s inbound tourism industry.
“The three key themes for the new ATC are openness (with transparent
decision-making processes), partnerships and delivering results which
make a difference to the business of our industry in the immediate and
long term.
“The final report identifies a series of priority issues across all
areas of business which will form the agenda for the EMT.”
Boundy said the three new EGMs announced today would join the ATC from
next week, with the first meeting of the Executive Management Team on
November 5. |
