Finnair has
sold Norvista S.A.R.L. in Paris, France to its Managing Director Ms
Leena Uurala-Corbion. The sale includes the right for the company to use
the Norvista trademark in its marketing for the next three years.
At the same time, a comprehensive co-operation agreement has been signed
with Norvista. The purpose of the co-operation is to increase Finnair
sales in the French market. The development, marketing and sales of
Finnish travel products remain the business idea of the company. In
addition, co-operation with Finnair will continue and strengthen in the
future.
The Norvista chain, owned by Finnair, is a chain of travel agencies and
tour organisers operating abroad. The sale follows Finnair's new
distribution channel strategy, and continues this year's and last year's
sales of Norvista companies in England, in the Baltic, in Russia, in
Sweden, in the USA and in Germany.
Finnair founded Norvista S.A.R.L. in 1992. The total sales of Norvista
amounted to FRF 43 million in 2000, and it has 16 employees. |
