Meeting and
conference organisers booking events with 10 or more guestrooms between
now and 31 December 2001 at any of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts' 38
properties will be rewarded with a wide range of benefits from the
group. The new programme, Shangri-La Events Rewards (SER), provides a
host of privileges from complimentary room nights and cocktail parties
to dining and health club vouchers.
Reward points will be awarded based on the total guestroom and catering
spend for an event. Every US$2,500 or the equivalent will gain the
organiser 50 SER points up to a maximum of 2,000 points.
Commenting on the new programme, Carmen Lam, Shangri-La's Group Director
of Sales and Marketing, said: 'This initiative encourages event bookings
and rewards our loyal clients by offering them an additional incentive
to book Shangri-La for meetings and conferences. This is our way of
saying thank you.'
SER points can be redeemed from the following list of rewards:
50 Points - US$50 food & beverage gift voucher OR
- One week's free use of the hotel health club for one person, plus a
45-minute massage
100 Points - US$100 food & beverage gift voucher OR
- Upgrade of one guestroom to a Horizon or Traders Club room for a
member of the event *
150 Points - Upgrade to an executive suite for one member of your event

200 Points - Free rental of an LCD projector for the event *
400 Points - Two complimentary room nights in a deluxe room at any
Shangri-La hotel or resort
500 Points - Two complimentary room nights in a speciality suite at any
Shangri-La hotel or resort
1,000 Points - One-hour cocktail party for up to 50 guests with
free-flow of house wine, beer and soft drinks *
