Special
promotional schemes are being offered to PATA Chapters to encourage
participation in the 16th PATA Americas Travel Mart, September 25-28,
2001 in Mexico City and the 51st PATA Annual Conference, April 14-18,
2002 in New Delhi.
For the PATA Americas Travel Mart in Mexico City, suppliers are eligible
for a ten percent registration discount if they have been nominated by a
Chapter. This offer is limited to supplier companies who did not
participate in the previous two events in Las Vegas (1999) and Hawaii
(2000). Suppliers’ registration payments must be received by September
10, 2001.
For the same event, Chapters can also obtain one free registration for
every seven bona fide travel planner companies recruited by, and
registered through, a PATA Chapter. The Chapter can use the savings from
the waived fee to reduce registration costs for the seven. Or the
Chapter can send its own representatives to the event on a waived-fee
basis. All travel planner applications should be submitted by July 25,
2001 in order to be included in the advance delegate listing for
pre-scheduled appointments at the event.
For the 51st PATA Annual Conference in New Delhi, all PATA Chapters who
submit five industry-member paying registrations will receive one free
registration for their Chapter secretariat to attend the Conference.
This offer is applicable in conjunction with an early-bird discount of
ten percent off registration fees for delegates who pay by MasterCard by
December 15, 2001. Registration fees are US$700 per person for PATA
members, US$350 for accompanying person, US$800 for PATA Chapter
members, US$440 for accompanying person, US$1,150 for non-PATA members,
US$530 for accompanying person, US$750 for local Indian registrants and
US$380 for an accompanying person.
PATA’s Senior Director-Events, Ms. Sheila Leong, said: "The special
discounts for these two events are exclusively created for PATA Chapter
members in appreciation of their efforts to encourage more participation
from local members. These are real incentives which encourage Chapters
to tap into the business potential which each Chapter undoubtedly has." |
