Emirates will
shortly introduce a non-smoking policy on its flights Down Under and
extend the policy to another of its flights to the UK, giving customers
a smoke-free journey all the way from Australia to London.
The policy will take effect from March 25th on Emirates’ flights to and
from Melbourne and Sydney, and on its early morning flight daily to
London Heathrow which returns just after midnight, EK001/002.
Flight EK069 arrives daily from Melbourne at 05:35, in time to connect
to the daily flight to London Heathrow at 07:45.
Passengers on one of the four weekly flights from Sydney also enjoy a
seamless connection when arriving on Flight EK067 at 06:35.
Tim Clark, Emirates’ Chief Director (Airline), said: “We are
continuously monitoring the wishes of our passengers and we have felt it
is an opportune time to introduce the non-smoking policy on our
long-haul flights.”
The early evening flight daily to London Heathrow, which returns
mid-morning the next day, EK005/006, and the daily flight to and from
Manchester, EK035/036, already employ the non-smoking policy.
