VIRGIN ATLANTIC AND AIR NEW ZEALAND INTRODUCE SPECIAL AUSTRALIA – UK DEAL

Virgin Atlantic Airways and Air New Zealand have joined forces to introduce special fares from Australia to London, via the USA.

The new fares – priced from just $1,626 per person – are based on Air New Zealand flights from Australia to Los Angeles, then Virgin Atlantic services from Los Angeles to London’s Heathrow Airport.

This deal is applicable to Air New Zealand’s flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Los Angeles.

Passengers who make their own domestic travel arrangements in the USA can also take Virgin Atlantic flights from a choice of eight other American cities to London.

In addition to Los Angeles, Virgin Atlantic flies from San Francisco, Boston, Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, Washington DC, Newark and New York.

Sample itineraries include:

Sydney – Los Angeles (Air New Zealand), Los Angeles – London - Los Angeles (Virgin Atlantic) and Los Angeles – Sydney (Air New Zealand).

Sydney – Los Angeles (Air New Zealand), own domestic arrangements to Las Vegas, then Las Vegas – London – Los Angeles (Virgin Atlantic) and Los Angeles – Sydney (Air New Zealand).

Melbourne – Auckland – Los Angeles (Air New Zealand), own arrangement to San Francisco, then San Francisco – London – Los Angeles (Virgin Atlantic), and Los Angeles – Auckland – Melbourne (Air New Zealand).

Brisbane – Auckland – Los Angeles (Air New Zealand), own arrangements to Orlando, then Orlando – London – Los Angeles (Virgin Atlantic) and Los Angeles – Auckland – Brisbane (Air New Zealand).

Bookings can be made until 9 December for travel until 28 March.

For departures until 15 November, and from 14 January until 28 February, the special fare from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to London with Air New Zealand and Virgin Atlantic is just $1,626 per adult.

From high season departures between 16 November and 6 December, 25 December until 13 January and 1 March – 28 March, the special fare is $1,867 per adult.

Up to three children aged 2 – 11 years, who are accompanied by an adult, can travel for 75 per cent of the fare, while the fare for infants is 10 per cent of the adult rate.

Special fares are not available between 7 and 24 December.
