Inter-Continental Hong Kong has announced the following senior
appointments,
Mrs Christine Sng Mechtler has been appointed Director of Marketing
accountable for Marketing, Sales and Communications functions reporting
directly to the General Manager. Born in Singapore and educated in both
Singapore and the United States of America, Mrs Mechtlers career
history includes 7 years experience with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts
and 7 years with The Westin Stamford & Westin Plaza Singapore. Her
previous position was two years as Director of Marketing at Kowloon
Shangri-La. Prior to that, Mrs Mechtler spent five years at the
Corporate Offices of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts where she was
responsible for the groups partnership marketing efforts, implementing
marketing programmes and the launch of Golden Circle (the current
group-wide loyalty programme). Her experience at The Westin Stamford &
Westin Plaza spanned all major divisions from Operations to Finance and
Marketing.
Ms Sharon Garrett has been appointed Director of Communications and will
be responsible for Public Relations, Sponsorship, Advertising and
Promotions. Prior to joining Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong,
Ms Garrett was responsible for the group Public Relations activities of
Jumeirah Internationals properties in Dubai. Born and educated in
Australia, Ms Garretts background includes worldwide hotel experience
(both independent properties and hotel chains), freelance writing and
international sporting events.
Mrs Stella Chow has been appointed as Director of Sales for Grand
Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong. Mrs Chow brings with her more than
13 years experience in Sales with Hyatt Regency Hong Kong. Born in Hong
Kong, Mrs Chow was educated in the United States of America and has
experience with global brands such as Marriott and Holiday Inn.
Mr Mark Wesson has been appointed Director of Revenue Management for
both Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong and Hotel
Inter-Continental Hong Kong. Mr Wesson has more than sixteen years
experience in the hotel industry. He has held senior management
positions at regional office and hotel levels, in finance, marketing and
operations with Starwood and Pan Pacific hotels in Australia, New
Zealand, China, and Asia-Pacific. Mr Wesson will work closely with both
hotels General Managers and Directors of Sales and Marketing to
maximise revenue opportunities and operational efficiency.
Ms Lina Lo has been appointed Reservations Manager for Grand Stanford
Inter-Continental Hong Kong. Prior to joining the hotel Ms Lo was
Reservations Manager of the Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. Her
background includes hotel training in Switzerland, tertiary studies in
the United States of America and experience gained in positions with
Island Shangri-La Hong Kong, Shangri-La Shenzhen and The Conrad Hong
Kong. |
