DTCM PRODUCES MULTI-LINGUAL BROCHURE TARGETING RUSSIA & BALTIC STATES

Travel News Asia Date: 12 November 2001

The Government of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has produced a multi-lingual brochure to target the travel trade and consumers in Russia and the Baltic States.

The brochure was launched at the recently concluded tourism roadshows in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

"This multi-lingual brochure produced in Russian, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian languages will appeal to our target audience and will be circulated both to the tour operators and the end user to meet the increasing demand for information on Dubai's attractions as a tourist destination throughout Russia and the Baltic States," said DTCM Director General, Khalid A. bin Sulayem.

"The brochure underlines Dubai's attractions as a destination with special emphasis on quality, comfort and hospitality and is both attractive and practical as an information source even as it is economical to produce and distribute," Mr. bin Sulayem remarked.

Promoting global awareness about Dubai and its attractions can be an expensive proposition. Relatively inexpensive publications complement the DTCM's high quality brochures and meet the challenge of spreading information about the emirate as widely a possible while keeping costs in check.

The brochure provides information about Dubai's leisure facilities for the Russian and Baltic markets complete with up-to-date information and a selection of new photos. The brochure features a city map and information on a wide range of the emirate's attractions, culture, lifestyle and entry formalities.

The brochure's advantages include low mailing costs and high retention value because of its attractive design. The new booklet will complement the DTCM's existing range of promotional literature in Russian language, which includes Destination Dubai (travel trade manual) and Dubai at a Glance (pocket sized city map).
