EIBTM 2001 LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE INTRODUCTION OF FAST ON-LINE REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION SERVICE

Travel News Asia Date: 12 January 2001

EIBTM 2001 (29-31 May at Palexpo, Geneva) has a new, comprehensive website providing improved services for exhibitors, visitors and the media. On-line registration means that visitors can book their attendance at the event in just a few minutes.

The new website is part of a pledge by Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), owners of EIBTM, to continually upgrade the event, its facilities and customer relationship management.

RTE began its drive to build on the success of the annual global showcase for the meetings and incentive industry last year. The company has already signalled for 2001 a major overhaul of the Hosted Buyer programme, better communication, greater opportunities for exhibitors and visitors, more efficient traffic flows between the exhibition halls and a new, fully equipped press working area.

"This is a big step forward for EIBTM, making the planning and preparation stages in the run-up to the event easier and more convenient for visitors", said exhibition director, Debbie Jackson. " The website offers detailed information on the event, which will be regularly updated.

"An on-line diary, for example, will be available a few weeks prior to EIBTM 2001, so that Hosted Buyers can plan their visit in advance by studying the information on each exhibitor, its products and services, identifying with whom they wish to conduct business and requesting appointments.

" Registering on-line is simple and will make a world of difference for visitors, saving them valuable time and eliminating queuing."

Once pre-registered, visitors receive further event information, such as discounted offers on hotels and travel and their badge, offering fast track entry.

The website also includes information on hotels in the region, travel to Geneva, exhibitors, pre-registration and special events, such as the prestigious EIBTM Awards, to be presented for the first time on Wednesday 30 May and Worldwide Watch, highlighting the industry's most innovative technological breakthrough of the past 12 months.

Exhibitors will also be able to display releases on their activity at the event.
