Leisure Appliances, the world’s leading manufacturer of classic and
automatic hotel miniBars, now trading as Dometic.
The world’s leading miniBar manufacturer, Electrolux Leisure Appliances,
is to introduce its new name Dometic, to the Middle East hotel industry
at The Hotel Show between May 20-22 next year.
Though it has a new name, the company retains a 30-year market
leadership worldwide.
“Past Hotel Shows provided a great opportunity to meet the good quality
visitors that attend the show and we see the 2002 Show as an important
part of our communication of the new company name to the leading players
in the hotel industry,” said Christofer Lund, regional sales manager,
Middle East. “At the same time we will emphasize the continuation of our
traditional quality and reliability to the Middle East, which remains
one of the fastest growing tourist regions in the four and five star
segments that Dometic supplies”.
He said Dometic will also be demonstrating the enhanced and
sophisticated Windows software for its automatic miniBars. Hotels will
be able to see, at the touch of a button, extensive management reports,
sales and product analysis, profit and loss analysis and inventory
control systems with technology at the fingertips. The Show will also
showcase its wide range of classic miniBars and other in-room products
like miniSafes and trouser presses.
It is held under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, UAE Minister of Defence, and
chairman of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. The Show
was purchased by dmg World Media, a subsidiary of FTSE100 company The
Daily Mail & General Trust plc last year, and is already benefiting from
ambitious international marketing initiatives in the wake of the buyout.
Already a third of exhibiting space has been booked, 50% of this by new
exhibitors, including strong local interest. Four new national
pavilions, representing Thailand, Lebanon, Taiwan and the Philippines,
have been confirmed, representing a substantial number of exhibitors
from those countries.
The US, Germany, South Africa, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Australia
and Hong Kong have once again taken pavilions and Northern Ireland’s
Madini Hotel Work will be the single biggest exhibitor, “With the Hotel
Show now under the umbrella of one of the largest exhibition organisers
in the Middle East, it enjoys highly specialised global support, ” said
Joanne Evans, director of the organizers, Streamline Marketing.
This year’s exhibition attracted 115 exhibitors representing more than
200 companies from 13 countries in Asia, Australia, Europe, the GCC,
North America and South Africa. The event also attracted over 3,500
quality visitors from the Middle East hotel industry.
The Hotel Show’s international exhibitor line-up will include
