HOTEL INTER-CONTINENTAL AL AIN MAKES SENIOR APPOINTMENTS

The Hotel Inter-Continental Al Ain has made a number of senior appointments, including a new director of sales and marketing, and a director of operations.

The new director of sales and marketing, Mohammed Soussan, who has more than 13 years experience in the hotel industry, has previously worked in Australia and the UAE.

Omar Rabi has been appointed director of operations. Prior to his appointment he was executive assistant manager at the Hotel Inter-Continental Jericho, and has 18 years experience in food and beverage management.

Simon Penhaligan joins the hotel as executive chef, Maha Al Dakkak becomes the new sales and public relations executive, Donna Kenyon is the new health and fitness coordinator, Zaid Numani is the new sales executive responsible for the Dubai market, Nahreen Oshana becomes the banquet sales executive, and Marcel van Rooijen is assistant food and beverage manager.

Located 90 minutes from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and five minutes from Al Ain town centre, the Hotel Inter-Continental Al Ain is set in secluded and peaceful gardens, offering guests a choice of three speciality restaurants, English pub, pool bar / restaurant, a tea lounge and two night-clubs.

At the end of the month, the 200-room hotel, owned by the National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCTH), will open 22 new chalets, offering guests extra privacy and security.

The Hotel Inter-Continental Al Ain is one of seven Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties managed by Bass Hotels & Resorts in the UAE.
