New Moves At Shangri-La

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has announced two senior moves. Peggy Angeles has relocated from Singapore to Manila as Vice President Marketing to take over Carmen Lam's previous region and role. Carmen Lam was promoted from Vice President Marketing to Group Sales and Marketing Director in June this year. Peggy is now responsible for the marketing activities of 10 hotels in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Taipei, Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines. She was previously Vice President Marketing for the group's hotels in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Fiji.

Rick St Maurice has been promoted to Area Director of Marketing based at the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, with immediate effect. His enlarged role includes responsibility for the sales, marketing and communication departments at four Shangri-La hotels: the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong; the Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong; the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei and the Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen, China.

Prior to his promotion, Mr St Maurice was the Director of Marketing for the Island Shangri-La. He has also been responsible for the marketing function at the Four Seasons Hotel, Tokyo (1998 - 1999) and at the Traders Hotel, Singapore (1995 - 1998). In addition, he has over 25 years experience with Air Canada, where he was Regional Director - Pacific Asia & Middle East in Singapore.
