ANSETT AND AIR NEW ZEALAND SPRING LUNCH IN GUANGZHOU

Hong Kong, March 24th, 2000----- Ansett and Air New Zealand hosted a spectacular Spring lunch for VIP's and leading travel agents at the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou on the 10th of March.

The Guangdong region has been identified as an important area for sales growth for both airlines, having recently appointed Anna Cheung as Sales Development Manager - Southern China. Cheung will be working with Star Alliance partners in Southern China to build strong working relationships with key travel agents in the region as well as Chinese, Australian and New Zealand government departments.

Over 50 people attended the lunch with guests including Australian Consul General, John Courtney, Steve Cantlon, Area Manager Consul from New Zealand Immigration, Ms Liu Ping, Director - Guangzhou Tourism Bureau and Zhang Zhi Lin, Director of Marketing & Promotion at the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Administration as well as many other travel agents and industry partners.
