THE BEST OF MALAYSIA FOR CONFERENCE DELEGATES

Travel News Asia Date: 9 November 2000

Delegates attending the 50th Pacific Asia Travel Association Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 8-12, are being offered 16 pre-and post-conference tours which showcase the exotic diversity of Malaysia.

Six of the tours will be complimentary for all delegates including KL Heritage Trail, KL Garden City Charms, and Putrajaya, Inspiring City of the Future.

The highlight of the Malaysian Fashion Extravaganza tour is a presentation of beautiful Malaysian batik wear and diamond designs by local models. The 50th PATA Anniversary Golf Challenge and the Bowling Tournament will also be free for delegates.

However, the 10 post-conference tours upcountry in Malaysia represent the best opportunity for delegates to enjoy the host country. The trips vary from two to four days.

Beach lovers can unwind on a Pangkor Sun-Seekers Paradise trip or the Redang Marine Park Getaway.

The diversity of Malaysia's tropical rainforest provides the backdrop for trips such as Sarawak-- Exotic Wonders of Borneo, and Taman Negara -- Magnificent Rainforest Wonder.

Malaysia's architectural and culinary achievements can best be enjoyed by joining Historical Malacca and Johor Bahru Heritage Tour, or Charming Penang and Legendary Langkawi Escapade.

PATA Director-Events, Ms. Erin MacArthur, said: "The Malaysian host committee invites all delegates to get out and about and experience their country. The diversity of attractions should satisfy everyone, especially as travelling upcountry from KL is so easy."

Most of the tours take place April 12-14 and prices range from US$136 to US$284 per person, twin sharing.
