United
Airlines has announced that it will offer a second daily flight between
Chicago and Mexico City beginning August 10, 2000.
"Having a second daily flight to Mexico City from Chicago will give our
business and leisure travelers additional flexibility and further
enhances our commitment to Latin America," said Stephen Beatus, Vice
President-Latin America for United Airlines.
Flight 1007 will depart Chicago at 5:55 p.m. and arrive at Mexico City
at 9:50 p.m. Flight 1012 will depart Mexico City at 10:40 a.m. and
arrive at Chicago at 2:30 p.m.
Flights will be operated with Boeing 757 aircraft seating 24 customers
in first class and 158 in economy class. The aircraft will feature 50
seats in Uniteds new Economy Plus section. Economy Plus offers up to
five additional inches of legroom and is available to customers who have
achieved Premier status in Uniteds Mileage Plus program, Star Alliance
Gold and Silver members and all customers traveling on full-fare Economy
Class tickets.
Current service is operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight 1017
departs Chicago at 10:05 a.m. and arrives at Mexico City at 2:01 p.m.
Flight 1018 departs Mexico City at 3:00 p.m. and arrives at Chicago at
6:53 p.m.
United offers more than 2,400 scheduled flights a day to 135 airports in
26 countries and two U.S. territories. |
