The Hong Kong
Tourist Association (HKTA) Board today announced that it has accepted
the request of Executive Director Mrs Amy Chan for early retirement.
Mrs Chan said: “With the very encouraging half-yearly visitor arrivals
statistics having been announced last Monday (7 August), I have come to
the conclusion that it is the appropriate time for me to take a pause
and critically examine what I should be doing for myself in the days,
months and years to come.”
“It has been a memorable 29-year association with the tourism industry
in Hong Kong. I am grateful, in particular, for the support and
friendship of my colleagues in Hong Kong and around the world”.
HKTA Chairman Mrs Selina Chow said: “We respect Mrs Chan’s decision and
on behalf of the Board, I would like to express our gratitude to her,
for her valuable and loyal services to the organisation and her
significant contribution to Hong Kong’s tourism industry.”
The Board will now begin the process of finding a suitable replacement
for Mrs Chan. |
