ANSETT AUSTRALIA VOTED ONE OF THE WORLD'S LEADING AIRLINES

Travel News Asia Date: 7 September 2000

Ansett Australia has been voted the third best airline in the world by frequent business travellers in the ninth annual Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Business Travel Survey.

According to Jeff Naylor, Vice President North Asia, the award is a reflection of the exceptional service and standards provided by Ansett Australia.

"Considering the size of Ansett Australia relative to other airlines included in the survey, our achievement is even more significant. We pride ourselves on our individual, friendly service. Ansett flight attendants are genuinely dedicated to delivering exceptional service to business travellers in economy and business class."

Ansett Australia has consistently rated among the top airlines since the survey's inception in 1992. The Business Traveller award recognises Ansett Australia's tradition of excellence and innovation.

Ansett has won several other awards in the last few years including "Best Airline in the World" in the World Business Class survey conducted by Inflight Research Services in 1996, 1997 and 1999.

Ansett's parent company Air New Zealand also appeared among the top airlines in the Business Traveller awards, placing fourth in the world. Ansett Australia has been serving Asia since 1993. The airline currently operates flights between Australia and four international destinations:

Bali, Fiji, Hong Kong, and Osaka, including daily flights between Hong Kong and Sydney. Ansett Australia is wholly owned by Air New Zealand.
