Trans World Airlines, Inc. (AMEX: TWA) today reported May traffic. The
airline flew 2.35 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for May 2000
compared to 2.26 billion RPMs in May 1999.
TWA’s capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), increased to
3.23 billion ASMs in May 2000, compared to 2.96 billion in May 1999.
TWA remains in the number one position for on-time arrivals in the
industry for the cumulative 12 months ending in April (the most recent
month for which statistics are available) at 82.3 percent, according to
statistics reported to the U.S. Department of Transportation. TWA has
also been the #1 on-time airline in the United States for the past three
quarters and for calendar year 1999 according to statistics reported to
the DOT. |
