Travel News Asia Date: 4 September 2000

New rooms and restaurants at Le Meridien Jumeira Beach

WORK is on schedule at Le Meridien Jumeira Beach resort in Dubai for the unveiling of a major expansion project in mid-September.

As well as a new deluxe 154-room Tower extension, which ‘soft opens’ on September 16, a unique spa and health club facility, tea lounge and three new restaurant and bar outlets will add a new dimension to the beach resort.

"With the new Tower, we can offer a superior product to guests looking for personalised service and that little bit extra," said Siggi von Brandt, sales and marketing director. "In addition, we will have extra banqueting space in the 15th floor Al Khaleej ballroom which can cater for up to 300 guests and offers unparalleled beach and sea views.

"It is a product that is unique to our hotel and, with the new restaurants and spa, will enhance the image of the hotel - which will now have than 500 rooms and 12 food and beverage outlets."

Second biggest hotel in Dubai, Le Meridien Jumeira Beach is the only one offering three distinct products catering to every guest requirement. As well as 206 deluxe rooms, 30 deluxe suites, one Presidential Suite and one Royal Apartment in the main hotel building, there are 108 executive rooms in the Club; plus 130 rooms, 22 suites and two Royal suites in the new Tower.

Le Meridien, part of UK-based Forte Hotels, has three hotels in Dubai and will be opening an additional resort property in Fujairah in summer 2001.
