US Airways’
fourth Airbus A330-300 to operate at Philadelphia has been placed into
service between Philadelphia International Airport and Rome, Italy.
This aircraft was designed with international customers in mind,
featuring a spacious cabin, roomier seats, more under-seat and overhead
storage space, and greater cargo capacity.
The A330 also has an on-demand audio and video system in every seat of
the aircraft, bringing travelers the highest quality of in-flight
entertainment.
In addition to its 266 comfortable ergonomically designed seats, the
A330 offers more cargo capacity, with the ability to carry eight 96" x
125" pallets of cargo in its holds, which have a total of 5,751 cubic
feet of space, a significant increase over most other transatlantic
widebody aircraft.
Flight 2 departs Philadelphia daily at 6:15 p.m., and arrives in Rome at
8:40 a.m., the next morning. Flight 3 departs Rome at 11:15 a.m., and
arrives in Philadelphia at 3 p.m.
The first A330 flown by US Airways entered service on May 4 between
Philadelphia and Paris’ Charles De Gaulle Airport. This A330 is the
fifth of seven such aircraft that will join the US Airways fleet by the
end of this year. US Airways is the first U.S. carrier to fly the A330
