KLM and
Eurowings have agreed that KLM will take full commercial control of the
Amsterdam-Germany services currently operated by Eurowings. From March
26, 2001, all flight operations to and from Germany will operate under
KL/NW flightnumbers only.
KLM cityhopper will take over operation of flights on the
Amsterdam-Bremen route from March 26, 2001 with Fokker 50 equipment. To
further strengthen the presence of the KLM brand in Germany other routes
will be taken over from Eurowings in due course. From the 2002/03 winter
season at the latest none of the services to and from KLM destinations
in Germany are expected to be operated by Eurowings anymore.
In summer 2001 KLM will continue to operate flights between Amsterdam
and Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg. KLM cityhopper will operate
the services between Amsterdam and Bremen. Eurowings will operate the
KLM flights between Amsterdam and Dsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart,
Nuremberg and Hanover. KLM has decided to withdraw services between
Amsterdam and the cities of Dortmund, Munster and Paderborn from March
11 2001, as part of its current route network review and
rationalization.
All Flying Dutchman loyalty program facilities will remain in effect on
all flights to and from these 10 German cities. |
