Exciting Range
of Quality Packages Available
Kathmandu will become the 27th destination in Dragonair’s Asia network
when flights to the fabled Himalayan capital of Nepal commence on
October 29.
“Kathmandu is a fabulous destination, offering history, culture and
stunning scenery and we’re pleased to be able to provide non-stop
services from Hong Kong,” said Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Stanley
Hui.
He added that the destination was expected to be popular with adventure
travellers and those looking for a holiday with a difference.
In tandem with the start of the flights Dragonair is launching a range
of all-inclusive quality packages through Dragonair Holidays. These
range in duration from 4 days/3 nights to 8 days/7 nights.
Among the highlights of the packages and optional tours are jungle
safaris at Chitwan, white-water rafting on the Trishuli River, hiking to
the rim of the Kathmandu Valley, and trekking through forests of
Rhododendron on a trail that takes in views of Mount Everest.
“The Dragonair Holiday packages allow travellers to tailor the trip to
their personal requirements and provide excellent value for money,” said
Mr. Hui.
The route will be served by an Airbus A320, with flights departing Hong
Kong every Thursday and Sunday. The full schedule is:
Flight no. Days From To Departure Arrival
KA100 Thu/Sun Hong Kong Kathmandu 18:55 22:25
KA101 Thu/Sun Kathmandu Hong Kong 23:25 05:40+1
The Kathmandu service will be added to Dragonair’s winter schedule, with
flights continuing until 22 March, 2001.
Dragonair is a Hong Kong based airline, operating a fleet of five
A330-300s, three A321s and six A320s in addition to the wet-leased
Boeing 747-200 freighter from Atlas Air Inc. It has announced plans to
double its fleet by the end of 2005. The airline’s passenger network
covers 26 destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including 17 in
mainland China. The freighter operates to Dubai, Manchester, Amsterdam
and a once-weekly service to Shanghai. |
