Kathmandu has
become Dragonair’s 27th passenger destination, with the launch of a
twice-weekly service to the fabled Himalayan capital of Nepal. Dragonair
Holidays has simultaneously introduced a selection of quality packages
that can be personalised to include hill treks, rafting and a nature
expedition.
“We expect Kathmandu to be popular with the growing number of travellers
looking for active and adventure holidays,” said James Yeung, Dragonair
General Manager, Commercial. “But it offers much more than that: it
really is a magical destination, with a rich culture and its many
historic sights set against the spectacular backdrop of the highest
range of mountains in the world.”
The Dragonair service will operate throughout the duration of the
airline’s winter timetable, which runs from now until March 22, 2001 –
covering the period considered to be the best for seeing the Himalayas.
The Kathmandu packages start from as little as HK$8,960, including
flights, hotel accommodation with daily breakfast, transfers and travel
insurance.
The full list of packages on offer is:
Kathmandu Easy (4 days/3 nights)
Kathmandu/Pokhara (4 days/3 nights)
Kathmandu/Pokhara/Chitwan (8 days/7 nights)
Optional extras include an hour-long mountain flight, a city tour,
rafting down the Trishuli River, a variety of treks and hikes and a stay
at the Chitwan National Park which is home to crocodiles, rhinos and the
rare Bengal tiger.
Dragonair Holidays, a fully owned subsidiary of Dragonair, has been
tailoring superior holiday packages to some of the region's most exotic
and interesting destinations for more than 10 years. Over that time, the
Dragonair Holidays name has become synonymous with quality, convenience
and comfort. |
