Oberoi Group Wins International Accolades

The Oberoi Group has ranked amongst the best hotel chains of the world in this year's major international travel awards accorded by two premier travel magazines - Travel and Leisure, published from the US and Conde` Nast Traveller, published from the UK.

The Rajvilas at Jaipur has been rated by Conde` Nast Traveller as 'one of the top 25 hotels of the 21st century', being featured in their Best Overseas Leisure Hotels category.

At the fifth annual 'Travel & Leisure World's Best Awards', hotels of The Oberoi Group secured top ratings in as many as four categories. While the 'clubby' Oberoi New Delhi was adjudged as the 'Best Business Hotel in New Delhi', again "the grand, exotic Rajvilas" is among the few 'Editor's Picks for Rural Retreats'.

Internationally, The Windsor is ranked among 'The Top 25 Hotels in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific' while Mena House features among 'The Top 25 Hotels in Africa and the Middle East'.

The 'Travel and Leisure World's Best Awards' is based on a number of commissioned surveys conducted across the world amidst travelers and travel agents. Yankelovich Partners Inc., the research and polling group, had been especially retained to tally the results. Similarly, the Conde` Nast Traveller awards, ranked as one of the most esteemed accolades in the world of International travel and hospitality, is based on an extensive travel poll conducted among a spectrum of industry representatives and professionals across the world.
