Chicago’s
Newest Luxury Hotel Exemplifies Park Hyatt’s Commitment to create
properties that offer Unparalleled Guest Experiences
The much-anticipated Park Hyatt Chicago officially opened June 13,
setting a new standard for luxury hotels in Chicago, as well as
throughout the United States. Reflecting the very “best of the best” in
talent and materials, Park Hyatt Chicago features original artwork from
renowned artists, world-class cuisine and the signature service that has
made Park Hyatt a leader in luxury hospitality.
“Today’s style-conscious and discriminating traveler seeks more than
just a great room, they demand a complete lifestyle experience” said
Rick Segal, the property’s general manager. “Park Hyatt Chicago was
created to exceed all expectations of today’s demanding travelers
through an uncompromising attention to detail, superlative personalized
service, outstanding cuisine, memorable ambiance and exquisite décor.”
Housed in the glimmering Park Tower, which rises 67 stories into the
city’s skyline and boasts breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the
Magnificent Mile, the 203-room Park Hyatt Chicago features tranquil and
inviting public areas designed in classic-contemporary décor, artwork
from renowned local and international artists, a world-class restaurant,
health club, spa and state-of-the-art meeting and convention facilities.
Park Tower is also home to 117 deluxe condominium homes and a select
number of high-end retail shops, including Giorgio Armani.
The inviting ambiance of the hotel’s guestrooms and public areas,
designed by Atlanta-based Culpepper, McAuliffe and Meaders, Inc.,
reflect a contemporary yet classically modern feel accentuated by warm
tones and rich woods. The same warm feeling is extended to the hotel’s
120-seat fine dining restaurant, NoMI. Nestled on the 7th floor of Park
Hyatt Chicago and featuring panoramic views of the city, NoMI is under
the guidance of the award-winning chef, Sandro Gamba. Serving the
innovative French-inspired cuisine that earned Gamba a nomination as the
1999 James Beard Rising Star, the 7,500-square-foot restaurant was
designed by world-renowned Tony Chi & Associates and features a display
kitchen and 300-square-foot wine room, as well as an attached
2000-square-foot terrace with outdoor seating and panoramic views of the
city.
Like all Park Hyatt properties, Park Hyatt Chicago is also home to an
array of original works of fine art, including Piazza del Duomo, Milan,
the 1968 masterpiece by German painter Gerhard Richter which will stand
proudly as the centerpiece of the hotel’s lobby. Other works featured
within the hotel include original pieces by such renowned artists as
Isamu Noguchi and Dale Chihuly. Additionally, several site-specific
artworks were commissioned by well-known Chicago artists such as Mary
Brogger and Judy Ledgerwood, among others.
Other amenities within the hotel include a 6,500-square-foot health
club, which houses a 25-yard swimming pool and aerobic and weight
resistance equipment, and more than 7,000-square-feet of flexible
